Traseul de troleibuz nr. 7 a fost scurtat (ruta: St-Francois - Val-Vert), deoarece incep lucrarile pt. reintroducerea tramvaiului.

O parte din ruta fostului traseu 7 este preluata de traseul 17, deservit alternativ cu autobuze si troleibuze (pe traseul Georgette - Renens-14 Avril).

Incep lucrarile pt. introducerea tramvaiului si a primului traseu BHNS, deservit cu troleibuze bi-articulate.

De ce tramvai?

Pentru cresterea capacitatii de transport si cresterea vitezei comerciale!

Cei din Lausanne nu "arunca" pur si simplu un tramvai pe strazi. Cititi documentele din atasament in care sunt prezentate si celelalte lucrari ce se vor desfasura concomitent cu cea a introducerii tramvaiului.

Din pacate in prezentare (nu m-am uitat peste document, si nici nu as intelege foarte mult, fiindca franceza mea e destul de rudimentara) nu mentioneaza nimeni ca actuala linie de metrou m1 are capacitatea maxima (deja atinsa) puternic limitata prin faptul ca are cateva treceri la nivel, este in mare parte linie simpla, si peroanele au 65 m lungime. Ca feeling eu l-am perceput ca pe un fel de light rail; in nici un caz metrou. M2, in schimb, chiar are "feeling de metrou", daca ma pot exprima asa.
