In luna octombrie a acestui an, a fost montata retea de troleibuz pe Dózsa György út, pt. ca troleibuzele traseelor 75 si 79 sa nu mai circule pe Dvorák sétány. Decizia a fost luata odata cu lucrarile de reabilitare a Hősök tere.

Terminalul troleibuzelor de la Podmaniczky tér va fi desfiintat (va fi transformat in zona pietonala), astfel ca troleibuzele traseelor 72 si 73 vor intoarce pe Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út, in amonte de piata.

Dupa ani buni de stagnare, in Budapesta se extinde reteaua de troleibuz:

1. Traseul 83 va fi prelungit pana la Liget tér, pe Kőbányai út. Pana la intersectia cu Hungária krt. se va utiliza reteaua existenta, folosita pentru retragerea la garaj (proiect aprobat in ianuarie 2020);
2. Se va instala retea pe aliniamentul Kálvária tér - Diószegi Sámuel utca - Elnök utca - Könyves Kálmán krt. - statia de metrou Nepliget (proiect aprobat in aprilie 2020).

Traseul CITY a fost desfiintat. In schimb, traseul 82 a fost prelungit pana la Mexikói út M (doar in week-end-uri; troleibuzele circula cu ajutorul bateriilor).

Lucrarile sunt in curs de desfasurare. In plus, au ajuns in capitala Ungariei inca doua troleibuze Solaris Trollino 18, ca si compensare pt. intarzierea livrarilor troleibuzelor din comanda anterioara.

Traseul 83 a fost prelungit de la Kálvária tér la Népliget, noul indicativ fiind 83M. Pe noul tronson, troleibuzele circula propulsate de baterii.
