Intre orasele Urgench (Urganch) si Khiva (Xiva) exista un traseu de troleibuze cu lungimea de 33 km (linia 2), pus in functiune in anul 1998. De fapt, traseul initial avea 36,3 km lungime.

Prima ruta de troleibuz (linia 1) a fost pusa in functiune in 20 octombrie 1997, in Urgench (intre aeroport si Temir Yul Vokzali (gara). Traseul a fost desfiintat in anul 2002.

Parcul de troleibuze este format din 9 troleibuze Skoda 14Tr (3 unitati din cele 9 sunt Skoda 14TrM) (an de fabricatie: 1987), din care, la ora actuala, sunt functionale 6 unitati.

Acest sistem de transport cu troleibuzul este singurul ramas functional in Uzbekistan.

Pt. aceasta, vor fi aduse 9 troleibuze Skoda 24 Tr.
