Hello, it doesn't exist a project to reintroduce the trolley-bus. Actually in Dresden a Hybrid-bus of the label "Solaris" is been tested. The trolley-bus is too expensive, because you need a new infrastructur and a normal bus has the same capacity like the trolley-bus. In the next time the big "CapaCity" (that's the name of a big diesel-bus of Mercedes-Benz) will be tested again in Dresden. It visited Dresden some months ago. This Bus isn't much longer than a normal bus, but mor passengers can be transported with it. Trolley-busses in Germany aren't very popular and in danger of extinction.
In Dresden the bus-line 61 is our old trolley-bus-line. It is high frequented, but the CapaCity or an other big bus is cheaper for this line, because this line is mor than 25 km long, and 25 km catenary is too expensive. I think bis O-Busses like the ones in Zurich (Switzerland) are perfect for this route, but the price is too high. So a trolley-bus in Dresden is only a nice dream :(

Germany has economical reasons not to develope half-way systems, but the most efficient ones (even if theese are very expensive at the beginning). The trolleybuses were not prefered because the performance of german city-planning create better chances for tramways to survive. In addition, in Germany, the presence of tram rails on the road's floor isn't more considered to be a handicap for traffic.

Mai pe romaneste: troleibuzul, apropiat ca si costuri totale de exploatare de autobuz, dar cu infrastructura mult mai ieftina decat a tramvaiului, isi gaseste locul ideal mai ales in state cu o traditie aparte, sau care nu se bucura de foarte mare prosperitate economica. Pentru cei cu posibilitati financiare si orase bine sistematizate, tramvaiul, impreuna cu toate tipurile de trenuri urbane supra- si subterane sunt accesibile si suficiente. Avantajele troleibuzului apar acolo unde strazile istorice nu ofera bune conditii pentru instalarea retelei de tramvai. Dar in Germania, deja dedesubtul sau deasupra acestor strazi circula o retea densa de metro si trenuri pe estacada.

De ce am intrebat de reintroducerea troleibuzelor in Dresda?
A fost testat acel autobuz biarticulat. Cei din Dresda doreau sistemul light tram implementat in Zurich, Geneva, Lucerna (pe viitor in St. Gallen, Leeds, etc.), ei avind experienta in exploatarea vehiculelor actionate de curent electric.

Si alte orase din Germania studiaza (re)introducerea troleibuzelor. Dar Solingen ramine orasul german cu cel mai dezvoltat sistem: aprox. 50 de troleibuze apartin acestui oras si se vor achizitiona 20 troleibuze articulate Hess.

Troleibuzul in Dresda a functionat intre 8 noiembrie 1947 si 28 noiembrie 1975. Date detaliate si imagini interesante pe www.dresdner-nahverkehr.de si pe www.obus-ew.de

Sistemul light-tram implica pe toata lungimea sa pista speciala sau este adaptabil in traficul curent?

Ca sa nu produc confuzie, este vorba de troleibuzul biarticulat. Fara vreun ghidaj terestru, gen Nancy sau sistemul Kerb din Essen (ghidaj lateral).

Transportul cu troleibuze in Dresda a fost functional intre 5 noiembrie 1947 si 28 noiembrie 1975, dupa ce stramosul troleibuzului a circulat in orasul german intre 24 martie 1903 si 19 martie 1904.

Se vorbeste tot mai mult de reintroducerea troleibuzelor, deoarece acestea reprezinta o tehnologie matura, cu eficienta ridicata. Autobuzul electric existent in flota DVB nu are o balanta energetica buna din cauza greutatii bateriilor si a locului ocupat de acestea in detrimentul calatorilor.
